# Image sources ## Escape from Tarkov Wiki and contributors Quest information, walkthroughs, Gunsmith guides and reference imagery use the [Escape from Tarkov Wiki](https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Escape_from_Tarkov_Wiki) and the work of its community editors, guide authors and image contributors. Thank you to those contributors for maintaining these resources. Individual image sources and modifications are recorded below and in the referenced source manifests. Game imagery remains the property of its respective rights holders. Wiki text is used under [CC BY-SA 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/). The app adapts it (quest requirements, objectives, extraction lists and story steps are read out of the pages, shortened and combined with tarkov.dev data) and shares the adapted text under the same licence. Each task, story chapter and map links to its source page. Images from the wiki keep their own licences. ## Raid time selection `raid-night.jpg`: Escape from Tarkov Shoreline promotional night screenshot, downloaded unmodified on 2026-09-21 from [GAMES.GG](https://games.gg/escape-from-tarkov/), original image: https://assets.games.gg/escape_from_tarkov_screenshot_25_468f43d50c.jpeg . Game imagery belongs to Battlestate Games. Used as decorative night scenery, not as a live view of the selected map. ## Home map backgrounds Map scenery is stored unmodified in `map-backgrounds/` from the corresponding [Tarkov.Help map pages](https://tarkov.help/en/map/woods/home). Individual page URLs and original asset URLs are recorded in `map-backgrounds/sources.json` (downloaded 2026-09-21). Map variants share scenery with their base map. Game imagery belongs to Battlestate Games; no additional redistribution license is asserted. Trader portraits and hideout station icons use the existing public tarkov.dev reference-image endpoint, matched to the actual trader or crafting station for each offer. ## Gear and weapons cards Both columns use tarkov.dev catalog renders, the same public reference images the rest of the app already loads, so no additional asset is shipped: the weapon's own preset image for Gunsmith, and a 6B43 Zabralo-Sh vest with an Altyn assault helmet for Gear. ## Goons tracker background `goons-background.jpg`: Escape from Tarkov Goons banner, downloaded unmodified on 2026-09-21 from the [EFT community wiki / Birdeye page](https://wikiwiki.jp/eft/Birdeye). Original asset: https://cdn.wikiwiki.jp/to/w/eft/img/%3A%3Aattach/goons_banner.jpg?rev=577c4d348dd93a1ed6000c99f96447a4&t=20260709213320 Escape from Tarkov characters and game imagery belong to Battlestate Games. The source page credits the Escape from Tarkov Wiki and identifies its page content as CC BY-NC-SA 3.0; no separate license for this game image is stated. Cropping and darkening are CSS presentation only. ## Interactive map viewer (2026-09-21) Map metadata: https://github.com/the-hideout/tarkov-dev/blob/main/src/data/maps.json Vector map artwork: https://github.com/the-hideout/tarkov-dev-svg-maps (Shebuka and contributors; author attribution retained in manifest and viewer). Raster tiles: public https://assets.tarkov.dev/maps/ URLs from the manifest (Tarkov.dev / TarkovBOT.eu). Viewer: Leaflet 1.9.4, BSD-2-Clause license in interactive-maps/LEAFLET-LICENSE. Bundled from official npm distribution via unpkg.com. The local viewer uses public artwork, pan/zoom and floor selection. The full tarkov.dev map remains linked for its additional overlays. Vector artwork license: CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, original license retained in interactive-maps/SVG-MAPS-LICENSE. Floor views selectively hide layers from the original artwork. Map overlay positions and names are loaded from the public tarkov.dev JSON map and item translations, separately for PvE, PvP and seasonal PvP. The companion renders its own marker symbols. ## Tetriz and Loot Match Both games use original, unmodified 512px item renders from the public tarkov.dev catalog, downloaded on 24 September 2026. Tetriz uses 35 medical, electronic, valuable and tool items. Loot Match uses a separate set of six snacks and drinks: Alyonka, Slickers, condensed milk, TarCola, green tea and pineapple juice. The AK-50 booster uses the assembled AK-50 default preset render. Collectible loot adds Salewa, bandage, wires, spark plug, Iskra and small Tushonka artwork. Salewa and spark plug reuse their existing catalog files. Base Camp map cards reuse the credited map-background images above. Base Camp also bundles 16 original trader/contact portraits from the same catalog. Their source URLs and original dimensions are preserved; cards crop them with CSS. All 62 exact source URLs, catalog IDs and filenames are recorded in [game-art/sources.json](game-art/sources.json). The artwork belongs to Battlestate Games. Game tiles, lighting, interface icons and effects are drawn with CSS, canvas and inline SVG; no item image is generated or altered. ## Loot Match raids (2026-09-24) - **Item renders:** 75 more unmodified 512px renders for the location-specific board pools and collectibles, from the public tarkov.dev asset endpoint (`https://assets.tarkov.dev/-512.webp`). Each item's id, name, source URL, byte size and role are recorded in `game-art/sources.json`. - **Enemy portraits** (`game-art/enemies/`): - Boss and guard portraits are the unmodified tarkov.dev mob portraits (`https://assets.tarkov.dev/-portrait.*`). - tarkov.dev has no portrait for regular Scavs. The Scav tile uses a 256 × 256 crop of the lead key art on the EFT Wiki [Scavs](https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Scavs) page (File:Banner_scav.png). - Sources are listed in `game-art/enemies/sources.json`. - **Location scenes** (`raid-scenes/`): - There is one screenshot per point of interest, plus a map-level scene for Woods, Customs and Interchange. - All come from the Escape from Tarkov Fandom wiki. Each image was chosen because its file name or its caption on the cited page names that location. - Originals were downloaded full size, downscaled to at most 1400 px and saved as WebP. Two are cropped to remove HUD or inset elements. - `raid-scenes/sources.json` records, for each image, the wiki page, file page, original URL, original size and what it depicts. - The Woods EMERCOM medical camp and Scav base images show two different spots in the same lakeside compound. Game imagery belongs to Battlestate Games. The wiki identifies its community content as CC BY-NC-SA; no separate license for the game screenshots is stated.
